A bipartisan bill would provide funding for government services, with extra funds for states with more COVID-19 cases and the biggest drops in tax revenue.

Yesterday, Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez, the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, introduced a notable statement into the congressional record relating to S.J. Res. 68, the joint resolution on the use of military force against Iran that the Senate passed 55-45 on Feb. 13, 2020. In his comments, Menendez drew specific attention to S.J. Res. 68’s language directing the president to “terminate the use of United States Armed Forces for hostilities” against Iran.

At an event about flooding in Hoboken, NJ, Sen. Menendez was worried about presidential candidate Sanders but more so about climate change.

Menendez went hard at Sanders in light of a recent interview where he said “it’s unfair to simply say everything is bad” about the Fidel Castro regime.
